Glendale, Los Angeles County
Brand Boulevard has been the main street of Glendale for more than a century. The Glendale Galleria opened beside it in 1976, and the open-air Americana at Brand followed in 2008 with a trolley, a fountain and apartments above the shops. The Alex Theatre, a 1925 movie palace with a tall neon spire, still anchors the north end.
